Who we are

Health Tech School is an online educational membership for healthcare professionals. The operator of Health Tech School is responsible for the information you provide on this site.

What we collect

The list below is the complete list. Nothing else is collected separately.

• Account: your email address, name and password. Passwords are never stored in readable form — our authentication provider hashes them and we never see them.
• Profile (only if you enter it): phone number, designation, qualifications, BMDC registration number, chamber name and address. These exist solely to fill in your certificates and the Doctor Tools letterhead.
• Purchases: name, email, phone, which plan, the amount, and the payment gateway's transaction reference. If you start the checkout form but do not finish, we keep that partially filled information so we can send you a link back to it.
• Usage: which lessons you completed, quiz results, what you opened in the library, what you posted in the community, and when you were last active.
• Technical: your IP address, browser user agent, and cookies.

We never receive your payment credentials

Card numbers, bKash/Nagad PINs and OTPs never reach our servers. Payment completes on the gateway's own page. The gateway tells us only whether the transaction succeeded, its reference number and the amount.

Doctor Tools and AI — please read this one

In the portal's Doctor Tools, whatever you type to draft a certificate — including patient name, age/sex, diagnosis and remarks — is sent to a third-party AI provider in order to produce the draft. The draft cannot be generated without sending it.

We do not store the generated text or any patient details in our database; our log records only which member requested a draft and when. Our advice is nonetheless explicit: do not enter information that identifies a patient. Use initials instead of full names and write the name in by hand when you print. This is the same habit our own lessons teach.

Cookies and tracking

• Essential cookies: keep you signed in and remember your language choice. The site cannot work without them, so they cannot be switched off.
• Measurement and advertising: Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and TikTok Pixel — each runs only when an administrator has enabled it. When one is off, none of its code is sent to your browser at all.
• For advertising measurement we also send certain events to Meta from our server (a completed purchase, for example). These carry hashed — unreadable — forms of your email, phone and name, along with your IP address and browser user agent. The original email or phone number is not sent.

Email and SMS

Transactional and account messages — receipts, login links, lesson-release notices — are part of the service and you will receive them while you are a member.

Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link and supports one-click unsubscribe. Once you opt out, you go on a suppression list so no later campaign can reach you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. It reaches the following providers, each of which is needed to run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
• Payment gateways (EPS and/or PayStation) — solely to complete transactions.
• AI providers — only the text you submit for a draft in Doctor Tools. See the section above.
• Email and SMS providers — to deliver messages.
• Meta, Google and TikTok — only while the relevant tracking is enabled.
• A competent authority, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Account and learning progress: until you ask us to delete your account.
• Unfinished checkouts that never became a purchase: automatically deleted after 90 days.
• Purchase records: retained as needed for accounting and dispute resolution.

Your choices

• You can change your profile name, phone and professional details yourself in the portal at any time.
• You can request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• You can ask us to delete your account. Deletion ends your membership and removes your progress, cannot be undone, and financial records of purchases may remain.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link at the foot of any such message.
• You can limit tracking cookies through your browser settings or an ad-control tool.

Children

This service is for healthcare professionals and medical students. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date on this page changes with it. Members will be emailed about any significant change.
